Even better would be to make helper programs completely
configurable using the preferences.

Currently helper programs are detected when libsrcinst is installed, and the
user is stuck with them (and cannot provide additional options). 

Those values could instead be used as defaults, but with the additional
possibility of changing them using the preferences menu in sourceinstall-gtk,
or directly changing the preferences file/passing them on the command line in
sourceinstall.

Care to give it a shot working on a patch?
