Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17366 (project sourceinstall):
At last, it is done.
During an upgrade with sourceinstall-gtk,
the previous options (and variables) are prechecked with
their original value, if any.
If you can, please try out the latest CVS builds,
and confirm that the feature works as intended.
Currently the command line utility does not do anything
different.
