If I replace "zile" with "emacs -Q" above, I get the same result. "-f
func" means "run function on startup". auto-fill-mode applies only to
the current buffer. (When set in any fashion, it's buffer-local.)

Oops. This will be fixed in 2.3.13, which is due anyway to fix other bugs.
