We want to use the ccRTP on an embedded system so exclude dependencies on
other libraries is preferred.

this disable option is a leftover from the development phase. SRTP
is now an integral part of ccRTP. To enable the use of SRTP you
have to setup a CryptoContext (there is an example in den demo
directory)
and register this with the RTP stack. If your program doesn't do this
then SRTP code is not executed.
Is it necessary or you to have GNU ccRTP without SRTP?
