This is similar to considering the major version number to be part of
the "name" at some level (like expat going from libexpat.so.0 to
so.1). Every time you make incompatible changes you would increment
the version. (Especially since the new name would tend to just be
"old-name-2" anyway, unless you think of something more creative.)
