libgcj is weird, so the bootclasspath trick won't actually work for
us. But yeah, merging is a pain, and since Michael told us today he
wouldn't have much time for it, today on irc we brainstormed a bit and
came up with the proposal that Tom Fitzsimmons posted to the gcj list
today.
