Follow-up Comment #4, bug #55489 (project denemo):
What that amounts to is to attach a directive to the staff that you want the
alternate endings to appear that will prefix the staff with \with { \consists
"Volta_engraver" }, e.g.
(d-DirectivePut-staff-prefix "VoltaEngraver" "\\with { \\consists
\"Volta_engraver\" }")
note the doubling of the \'s because they are inside quotes " "
Question is, is it useful? - you can always use a "Staff for Marks" if you
want to print parts and don't want to repeat the alternate signs in each.
