OK, I put the patch for dgs-0.5.x branch (on CVS) on:

ftp://ftp.gyve.org/pub/snapshot/dgs-0.5.10post-m1-20001012a.patch

To build it,

(1) apply the patch to the source which is downloaded via CVS
    (because, current tarball generated by "make dist" ignores
     Motif dependent sources).

(2) (cd DPS && aclocal && autoheader && automake -a && autoconf) && \
        aclocal && autoheader && automake -a && autoconf

(3) ./configure --enable-motif && make
        On the system without LessTif,
        running ./configure without --enable-motif.

I checked on RedHat Linux 7.0, NetBSD-1.4.2, and Solaris 2.5.1 x86.
