Do some research on the bandwidth occupied by a QPSK signal at a given symbol rate, and then use your stated 1M sample rate to see how much you can "fit in" to a 1M sample rate. Your question is more about signals, signal processing, and their properties in the time and frequency domain which is quite independent from which signal processing framework you're using.
