URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?21857> Summary: Attempts to use duplicity 0.4.8 repeatedly fail with the following error message: Project: duplicity Submitted by: None Submitted on: Thursday 12/20/2007 at 21:55 UTC Category: None Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: Running 'sftp address@hidden' failed (attempt #1) Running 'sftp address@hidden' failed (attempt #2) etc. etc. command line is: $duplicity --exclude-filelist excludefiles /home/andy scp://address@hidden/home/andy/backup This is as per the man page as far as I can tell. The remote host is set up to do key exchange rather than password login and I haven't a clue why 'sftp' is being called when I want to do 'scp' I have verified that I can log in to the host using SSH with my keypair and I have also verified that I can 'scp' without any problems. So I'm at a loss other than to post a bug report on the best way to proceed. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?21857> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/
