Details:
Right now, a file can be 'deleted' by backing up after it is gone and
duplicity does something special to note that.
I've had a feature request for Déjà Dup to allow really-for-sure-now
deletion of specific files. The use case would be that I accidentally backed
up a super-sensitive file and want to make sure no copies of it are left in
the archive (without blowing it away and starting over).
So to support this, I guess duplicity would have to go and futz with any old
volumes that contain the file to remove it.
This isn't high on my list of wants, but just noting the request.
