No problem. What's really strange is that today everything looks much
better. The normal font looks sharp, there're very few bold chars and I
cannot reproduce the bug with the combined chars in UTF-8-demo.txt.
Looking at the ChangeLogs I cannot find a change that might have fixed
the problems. Well, yesterday was a bad day anyway -- weather, mood,
work... Probably I screwed emacs up mentally. ;-)
