After a short talk with forcer over #emacs he patched emms to play urls.
I downloaded from cvs right after the talk and performed:
(emms-add-url "http://64.124.44.102:9000";)
afterwards I tried to play the entry via the playlist and got:
I can't play (*track* (type . url) (name .
"http://64.124.44.102:9000";))!
Funny thing is that it was actually working at one point.
