This definitely seems like a worthwhile contribution.  Would you
(Matthew) be willing to assign copyright for this change to the Free
Software Foundation so that we can install the patch?  Since the patch
contains more than 15 lines of code, I'm pretty sure we have to have
an assignment first, since EMMS is part of the GNU Project.
