I wrote much of the m3u and pls playlist-handling code and use it
constantly.  Please let me know exactly what error you received, and I
will fix it.  Vague reports make me unhappy.

In case you were expecting the m3u playlist to open in a new playlist
window when using emms-playlist-mode.el, setting
emms-playlist-mode-open-playlists to t will make this work.
