Hi
This is my setup
(add-to-list 'load-path "~/emms-3.0/")
(require 'emms-setup)
(emms-standard)
(emms-default-players)
(emms-add-directory-tree "/Volumes/Data/currentMusic2")
(require 'emms-mode-line)
(emms-mode-line 1)
(require 'emms-playing-time)
(emms-playing-time 1)
(setq emms-source-file-default-directory "/Volumes/Data/
currentMusic2")
I will try this with fewer music files
But if I start emms I always see ogginfo in my process list.
Because
of that I cant type as fast as usual in other emacs buffers. (on
this
old machine)
How can I disable the ogginfo run?
Hm, as far as I can tell emms reads the tags only for files that
are in
the playlist which have no entry in the cache database till then
or that
have an entry with a modification time that is older that the file's
current modification time.
So maybe it's better to investigate further in that direction than
disabling the whole feature.
Maybe you edited the tags with another app or something else
changed the
mtimes of the files?
Okay. I delete .emms-cache
After loading emacs I do
Alt-x emms
Then emacs builds a playlist using ogginfo. So far so good.
In the message buffer is "EMMS: All track information loaded"
Now I quit emacs, new cache file is written
I start emacs and ogginfo runs again. What I am doing wrong?
bye
Enno
