[fluid-dev] Very short notes

I'm fooling around with a Yamaha DD55 midi drum kit and fluidsynth.
Only 20% of the notes seem to make it to audio output, probably
accidentally.  This might be the fault of the DD55, since it appears that
noteon and noteoff events are shipped to the PC in a block, with little
or no time in between them.  The voice tick values in the log for the 
non-realized
notes are typically .0001 or .0002 whereas played notes are .0032 or so.

Did I read here that someone had a patch for short notes which were being 
eliminated?
I can't seem to find the post.
