The other thing to bear in mind is that when recording multiple tracks,
it is best to record dry. This avoids unnecessary "mud" that can easily
clutter the mix. Of course, effects can be selectively added later to
enhance track definition for a higher quality mix. 

Nevertheless, the option to add effect nuances during live playing still
remains with an initial setting of zero.
