Thanks for useful informations.

As far i understand for a receiver device (i.e a synthesizer) we can have the following possibilities:
Mode 1: the device is allowed to receive on all 16 channels. Each channel is allowed to play polyphonic. The result is 16 polyphonic instruments.
Mode 2: the device is allowed to receive on all 16 channels. Each channel is allowed to play monophonic. The result is 16 monophonic instruments.
Mode 3: the device is allowed to receive on only one channel (called the basic channel). This channel is allowed to play monophonic. The result is one monophonic instrument.
Mode 4: the device is allowed to receive on M channel (starting from the basic chanel). Each channel is allowed to play monophonic. The result is M monophonic instrument.

But i never read  the possibility of a  device with a group of channels polyphonic and an other group of channel monophonic ?.
Do you think that this possibillity exists in the MIDI specifications ? and how to set a device to get this behavior ?

Thanks

 Hi, all

Apart the MMA Specifications, i am searching precise informations about

functionality about thoses MIDI messages.

In others words, assuming FluidSynth support for thoses MIDI messages, what could be

the best written specifications for FluidSynth ?!

Thanks for your interest.
