Well, I removed fluidsynth with
sudo apt-get remove fluidsynth
did the git thing:
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/fluidsynth/code-git fluidsynth
cmade it as per the instructions, and after getting rid of the old
fluidsynth library, it works, but I still have the same problem.
Telnet fails.
The git version says its 1.1.6 . Is that right?

Thanks for that.

Hi Ben,
this is a known problem:
I'm not sure if the fix has been included in a release
yet, but getting the latest sources from git and
recompiling should fix your problem.
All the best,
Marcus
