Hello
You should follow instructions in the wiki. https://github.com/FluidSynth/fluidsynth/wiki/BuildingFluidSynth
Usually, building Fluidsynth on Linux using cmake and make is not complicated . Notice that the instructions say
that for v.1.1.8 (https://github.com/FluidSynth/fluidsynth/wiki/ChangeLog#fluidsynth-118) you need cmake >= 3.0.2.
Cmake v2.8 works for Fluidsynth v 1.0.6 and should works for v1.0.7.
Regards.

>Hello friends:Discovered this application while searching for linux MIDI applications.I'm just a dabbler, but have been dabbling for 25+ years so am not a newbie.I downloaded and unpackedIts 'INSTALL' file says I can run 'configure', but there is no such file in thedistribution. There is a 'configure.ac', which might work with autconfig, but when I try this I getan error about an undefined variable and am not sure how to set it correctly.
