I tried to verify that it still compiles under 4.1, but i've difficulties to
revert to g++ 4.1, after the latest updates. They seem to prepare the
transition for 4.2 to become default, by modifying dependencies and
installation scripts. (4.1. does not install g++ /gcc default symlinks aymore)
I have both gcc 4.1 and 4.2 installed, but i don't know how to change them 'on
the fly'. CC=4.1 does not work here (why ? because it's the 'make' part ? Also
the command invoked seems to be 'g++' not 'gcc'.)
I would need to investigate it further
