configure.in has changed a bit since 1.2.0... Do you have the same
problem with the latest cvs code?

Well, there is no fresh gcmd rpms at FC repos at the moment ;o(

I'll try to check gcmd building at FC3. I'm quite busy now with the
upcoming 1.2.1 release, so it's likely that it may last a few days.
