I too agree. Its simpler for people to learn. apt would have been fantastic but
I don't think we need so many features. I feel we need a simple Package Manager
which people can understand. About building our own Package Manager, that would
be like kicking arse. :-D

I suggest we use LFS.

As Arjun forgot to mention, I think we can decide on a name for the distro too.
Personally I have no suggestion. It's not necessary that the distro be named 
after NITH or GLUG-NITH ie nitx or glugnitx or whatever. I agree with Arjun too
that its better if we keep a name not directly related to College or GLUG(BTW we
agreed on this on IRC :))
