[Gnump3d-users] filenames in 2.9.9.x

The displayed filenames in the info section of gnump3d-2.9.9.x are too 
detailed.  For instance, 2.9.8 used to display a file as:

file.mp3

2.9.9.x displays the same file as:

/directory/file.mp3

I imagine I could fix the way things are displayed if I knew which file to look 
at-which file controls this?
