I recently inherited an old laptop that I have Ubuntu Server 7.04 running on. I installed GNUMP3d; everything works and I can get to GNUMP3d from my other computers. The problem is I don't know how to set the music directory (root=) to the directory on my Windows XP computer that contains my music. The music is in K:\music, the Windows computer's name on the network is HTPC and it has a static IP of
192.168.1.3. I installed Samba, but don't know if I need to use it or configure it to get to that Windows directory. Is is possible to set root=//HTPC/K:/music or some such nonsense? BTW, Ubuntu Server is CLI and I'm a noob.
