I can give you NMEA file consisting of GGA sentences only. Try to force 
the gpsd to calculate the speed.

By NMEA spec - seconds with two digits after the dot. But in 
sentences2.nmea seconds are integer.

I can send to gpsd NMEA sentences with a different frequency - it 
doesn't change anything.
