Actually, it doesn't work.
. Support for both LTR to RTL scripts in the same line fails.
arabic(1) is rendered as
)1(cibara
instead of
(1)cibara
With other words, groff formats the complete text as if it were
LTR only -- no support for the bidi algorithm.
. You won't get left and right justified text for any other device
than TTY -- to do this groff had to insert keshideh extenders.
And even for TTY it won't work in case the shaping engine changes
the width of glyphs.
