Possibly your graphics are too complex to be reduced to "text" size.
Or possibly I should have explained that the BoundingBox coordinates
which you place in the "X'ps: import ... '" command should be exactly
the same as in the "%%BoundingBox: .... " line in the original file.

You can perform certain transformations of the graphic by changing
the ones in the command, but you have to calculate this very carefully.

Maybe if you email me privately one of the EPS files you want to
include, I can produce some text with this satisfactorily embedded
(and with explanations ... ).
