Although Marco already is aware, for posterity I'll note that o2scl is
also an alternative. I view O2scl as preferable to TNT for linear
algebra (TNT is not under active development, does not properly handle
const-ness, and is not as compatible with GSL as O2scl is. Then again,
I'm the O2scl developer, so I do have some bias). Boost, as Rodney
has mentioned, is a good alternative. All of these options are limited
in their overlap as well, so it depends on exactly what you're looking for.
In the finance community there is also quantlib, which I heard about
the other day.
Then there's OO linear algebra in general, where there are many more
options than those discussed here -- most of them listed, for example,
at oonumerics.org (eg FLENS and Blitz).

Hi everyone,
I know I'm probably opening an already discussed issue but I would like
to know if there is any good and maintained c++ wrapper. I found many
(gslwrap, gslmm, ...) but all incomplete and/or not maintained.
Is it possible that there is no concerted effort on this ?
Many thanks in advance,
marco
Hi Marco:
Believe it or not, it's possible. The reason that there
is no concerted effort, I'm guessing, is that GSL is a C library
after all. As far as C++ by itself goes, I think all of the action
has moved on to boost. I have looked at boost, but I have been using
my own version of gslwrap (there are now at least 3 variants). There
is also lapack++ which morphed into TNT, but I never had any luck at
all with that.
