I think it's the bug that was reported today by Stefan Schmiedl.
"gst-package -t ~/.st package.xml" or "gst-package -t . package.xml"
will do.
Maybe you had another compressed SSpec.star somewhere (the paths are
image path, ~/.st, system path)?
