Summary:  Content in Statusbar resizes the window

Original Submission:  Whenever I emerge something like...KDE.  The commandline 
for that turns out to be very long. (I'm not sure why.)  This command line is 
displayed in the Statusbar.  If the length of the commandline is so long, it 
will resize the Kportage window.  This becomes very annoying when your window 
is resized to something like 15000 pixels wide.
