My understanding is that we simply need to change it to
"-Wl,-no-undefined" as it is a linker flag.

I've changed the code accordingly in SVN 32033 (note that mingw was
already changed like that, but Cygwin was not).

Please let me know if this fixes it (or breaks something else).  On
GNU/Linux, the changes (seem to) make no difference on my system.
