Hi Seeker,

Free Geek Seattle meetings are a chance for us to compare notes on what's going on with the running of Free Geek Seattle, & what still needs to get done.  We aren't able to repair software or hardware problems at our meetings.  I think your best bet, for getting help with your computer is in the irc channel for Ubuntu help, since that's the distro you are using.    Another option is to try whatever Ubuntu forums that are available.  I hope that helps.

I doubt you remember me from my time at GSLUG, I had WANTED to
get to the meeting Monday night, as I now have to work on Saturday
during regular GSLUG meetings. The Monday night meeting for
Free Geek would have worked well, as it is now my "Saturday", but
this Monday was full of other stuff I had to do. I hope to make another
Monday night meeting.
I have now moved up to Ubuntu 14.04 on a new (used) Optiplex 620.
I had been hoping to get help moving up to a new version on my
laptop had I made the Free Geek meeting.
I have a question for you
(or any of the GSLUG group), in the repository, I am interested in
two software items. What are the software titles of the best for two items.
I am interested in the best software names for a Firewall and Anti virus.
Anyone interested in my question can reply direct via email if you like.
