The documentation changes should be done in the wake of cleaning up the  
convert-ly actions of issue 2518.  Those result in <>\footnote ... before  
notes and chords and should be converted into \footnote following them.   
Which is basically the same kind of action that the documentation should  
propose: footnotes following their anchors.
