Page numbering and page break control

Hi lout users,

I am very new to using lout and have a few questions about some of its
features.

Firstly I am evualating lout and its uses and I am comparing it with
another unix based typesetting product called "compuset". I have found lout
to alot cleaner to use and alot less resource hungry (disk space). I am
looking at lout because "compuset" is not very good at handling graphs and
general drawing capabilities are non-existant.

I am trying to produce an output file that has say 10 pages in it but the
file will be for 5 different people
ie A two page blurb with the name of the person printed near the top and
the rest of the information repeated for each person. I wish to have the
pages numbered 1,2 for each of the different people, but I have not figured
out how to reset the page numbering at page 3 back to page 1 etc.

The second question is I know lout "knows" when to go to a new page, but is
there some way to tell when lout is about to go to a new page or where we
are on the page(eg 100 points from the top)? I wish to place summary type
information at the bottom of the current page.

If this package is never meant to do this, do you know of any products that
can do these things?

Thank you for your time.
