There are two main ways to prevent line breaks within equations.  One
is to enclose the entire equation in @E { } instead of @Eq { }; this
will keep the entire equation on one line, so it should not be a very
long equation.  The other is to enclose one part of the equation in
@OneCol, for example

    @Eq { dum de dum @OneCol { z minute } de dum }

This will ensure that there are no line breaks within the enclosed part.

Incidentally, @Eq does have a prime symbol; it's defined to be the
same as minute.
