Bug? Or my misunderstanding again?

In the mydoc setup file, if I use only the first two lines below, I get
an index with all of my entries.  When I add the third line (changing
the heading font), I get the heading in the new font, but no index
entries...  (This is with Lout 3.17.)

  @MakeIndex        { Yes }                 # make index? Yes or No
  @IndexWord        { Program Index }       # word for "Index" word etc.
  @IndexHeadingFont { Times BoldSlope 24p } # index head font
