Q: No luck w/ user-defined PDF links

Hi again.

I was reading READMEPDF and thought I understood it, but apparently not.
I started trying to do it from scratch, then I tried the example:

"__link_external=<<chapter6 __link_to=<< /FS /URL /F
(ftp://ftp.cs.su.oz.au/jeff/lout/user.pdf) >>>>" @Graphic ""

Using that, nothing is displayed in the document.  If I change @Graphic
"" to @Graphic "something", I get a link named "something" but clicking
on it attempts to send me to the URL:

http://gri.gallaudet.edu/lists/<<%20/fs%20/url%20/f%20(ftp://ftp.cs.su.oz.au/jeff/lout/user.pdf)%20>>

As you probably guessed, the PDF file with the link in it lives in
http://gri.gallaudet.edu/lists/

What did I miss this time?
