Good question - but wait just a little while on that. The SGML WG of
the W3C is working on "XML" - the eXtensible Markup Language. It's
intended to be a subset of SGML that can be easily implemented by
people with programming experience. The initial specification is
scheduled for announcement at SGML '96 in November.

Once the spec is out, it would be a fantastic coup for Lynx to have
the first non-WG implementation. It might be worthwhile, however, to
incorporate James Clark's excellent SP (Sgml Parser) and JADE (JAmes's
Dsssl Engine) in building the HT structures.
