One very simple thing might be to just, for each image, etc, that
lynx doesn't handle, is to automatically insert the "ALT" thingie,
with either a null string "", or, if he already has lots of null strings
he did deliberately, then "doMe!" or some such.
It at least reduces the author's then work to locating those new
ALT's or doMe!'s, and typing in something reasonable.
Obviously the idea here is that this filter produces something that
the original author then has to hack -- but makes it an easier
job for him -- and thus more likely that he/she will actually DO it.
