AM SORRY: here is the source of the "GOOD IDEA" msg I just
sent seconds ago:

My problem with replying to email: For some reason I don't understand,
VI screws up on my terminal when coming via phone via TIP.
About a third of the lines get printed starting at the
right end of the screen. However, doing ":3,30p" works fine --
something about the timing, I guess.

So I try to type in email responses from MAIL, before going
into VI to get rid of to-be-snipped stuff.

But knee-jerk ^D when done with entering the response
gets me to "CC:" prompt, and is too late to get into VI; like
that msg I just sent.

QUESTION: anyone know how to make VI take more time printing
stuff, how to make it issue some null-chars or something
at end of line. Anyone know what difference is in printing
between normal vi-mode and its "Q" ":"-mode, which prints so
much better?

Thanks (I know it's off topic, but relevant to sending
better email replies...)
