LYNX-DEV Fote's lynx2-6mods.zip is NOT the "development code" set!

The "development code" set for this round is LynxRP, accessible
via: http://lynx.browser.org/

Since it presently doesn't build on VMS, Hiram is maintaining
a "Composite" 2-6updates.zip with replacement files for the "official"
(September 2, 1996) v2.6 release, that are still suitable for both
Unix and VMS, and include bug fixes and straightforward enhancements
that definintely will be in the next "official" release (though may
still need some more tweaks, as all Lynx code, offically released
or not, always does 8-).

Subir has put up a link to http://www.wfbr.edu/dir/lynx
where lynx2-6mods.zip resides, and that link is labeled: "Fote's
set of v2.6 bug fixes and personal mods" and that's ALL it is.
It should not be treated as were the FM zips, but just be used
for testing by Lynx developers, in the same spirit as others'
contributed bug fixes and personal mods. OK?

Note also that Klaus's DIRED patch can be removed from
Subir's patches section, since they're in the Composite now.
Perhaps Klaus might want to post a separate patch with just
the LYMain.c code for setting the Lynx version string via an
environment variable, since, for reasons explained previously,
that can't be included in the official or semi-official
distributions, but people may want to add it as a site-specific
mod.
