        I noticed that in the HTMLized headers it has a To:
with a mailto link for address@hidden, a Subject: with the
subject of the current message, and a Reply-To:
for address@hidden that's also a simple mailto.  How hard
would it be for the latter link to add a TITLE="RE: ..."
attribute to the Anchor, where the ... would be replaced with
the Subject string, so Lynx will use that as the default
Subject of the reply to the list?  For example:

<em>Reply-To</em>: <A HREF="mailto:address@hidden";
TITLE="RE: LYNX-DEV Odd rendering in Lynx 2.6"
>address@hidden</A>
</LI>
[...]
