You gotta be more specific than that.  Like giving a real example,
and defining what you mean by "Lynx" (which version/patches?) and
"doesn't like".

There have been changes to that that are incorporated in the Composite
Patches, so a Lynx updated with that should deal with it better than
standard Lynx2.6.

Also, have you checked whether other programs "like" those addresses,
for example Netscape Navigator (on the same machine) or your telnet
or ftp program?
