You should at least try out what's in the composite patch to see what's
being done and whether you'rs is different or not.  You should also
consider that the dired code is unix-specific...

I presume the u is your label for "updates"? "atm? At the moment?  My work
has been most just integration and looking over the changes to learn and
verify what I can... :)
