How do i save the output of trace to a file?

I tried lynx -trace http://www.coast.net/cgi-bin/SimTel/msidx > lynxtrace

This does'nt come out to good it does'nt record it as you see it
while it's happening.

The system is linux kernel 2.0.27 with the latest everything.
