I haven't been following this list for a couple of months.  Is there a
generally accepted "good" post-2.6 distribution right now?  I can build
binaries of the 2.6 "release" version, but there have been so many
"recommended" patches since then, I'm not sure if that would be a good
thing.

What is the current state of 2.6RP?  I've been using colorized Lynx
myself with mostly positive results.

The original poster asked about compilers for "SCO".  You would have
difficulty running a compiler on SCO, which is a company.  Name the OS
and release, I can tell you what's available (send me direct mail, this
is unrelated to Lynx).
