LYNX-DEV anyone know the solution to the problem with lynx 2-6FM and ftp

Subject: LYNX-DEV anyone know the solution to the problem with lynx 2-6FM and ftp directory sorting?
Date: Tue, 14 Jan 1997 07:50:52 -0500

I am using lynx 2-6FM CHANGES as of 01-10-97. I compiled it on a
SPARC/Solaris 2.4 using Sun's unbundled C compiler and the solaris2-ncurses
Makefile action.

When I access YYY lynx http://www.perl.org/CPAN/authors/
I see the following. Notice that the directories are not sorted in order,
even though, in my lynxrc file, I have:

# The file_sorting_method specifies which value to sort on when viewing
# file lists such as FTP directories. The options are:
# BY_FILENAME -- sorts on the name of the file
# BY_TYPE -- sorts on the type of the file
# BY_SIZE -- sorts on the size of the file
# BY_DATE -- sorts on the date of the file
file_sorting_method=BY_DATE

I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution.
