How do I include a file while I am in this kind of an Email message...?
Such that I could compose my messages and save to a file rather
  than typing it online.

It depends on what text editor you are most at home with. You
can select an E)ditor in the O)ptions screen. Lynx will call
this program to edit your outgoing mail when you activate a
mailto: URL or otherwise need to send mail. Most text editors --
pico, vi, emacs, etc. -- will let you read a pre-written file
into what you are editing.

If you are dialling into your Lynx host with a modem program, learn
about its capabilities to playback a file into your terminal session.
This will let you write the bulk of your message before dialling
into the host and squirt the file you wrote ahead into your mail
message. But it depends on the modem (terminal emulation) program
how you do it.
